The Waterford Community Band is comprised of professional and amateur musicians, ranging in ages from 13 to 80+, playing traditional concert band music (marches, overtures, musical medleys, show tunes, popular and classical works).

Membership is open to all, and auditions are not required. However, the ability to read music and play an instrument at a level compatible with the band repertoire is necessary.

In addition to providing an opportunity for the musicians to play for pleasure, the band is dedicated to improving the musical skills of its members. Our music director encourages members by working with them to add challenging compositions to their repertoire.

Instruments in our band include: percussion, woodwinds, reeds, and brass. We don't have piano or string parts. So whether you play bassoon, tuba, clarinet, piccolo, or something in between, come to a rehearsal and give us a try!

Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 7 to 8:45 PM at the Waterford Community Center, Route 156, Waterford, CT (next to Waterford High School).
